What was the Seminar about?
This was an interactive Seminar including a combination of presentations and vibrant Q&As with the audience. The Seminar involved a diverse range of speakers from world-class experts, to top-representatives of international organizations, donors, multilateral development banks and leading advocates for the coffee sector.
Areas discussed:
An up-to-date assessment of the impact of the covid-19 pandemic on the global economy; agriculture and commodities sector; and world coffee sector (demand & supply).
Views and concerns among ICO Members and coffee stakeholders, civil society and development partners.
Identifying the critical issues that need to be addressed in the short-, medium- and long-term.
Possible mitigation measures and resources (e.g. 3Ps - Protect lives, Protect incomes, Protect previous investments in coffee sector sustainability).
